Pilgrims are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner that reflects the spirit of Christian pilgrimage. Courtesy, patience, and respect towards fellow pilgrims, tour leaders, guides, clergy, hosts, and local communities are required. Any behaviour that disrupts the group, causes discomfort to others, or disrespects local culture, traditions, or religious practices will not be tolerated.
For the benefit of all participants, pilgrims must be considerate of group schedules, punctual for departures, and attentive during liturgies, briefings, and guided tours. Pilgrims should avoid behaviour that may cause conflict, division, or distraction from the prayerful and communal nature of the pilgrimage.
Responsible consumption of alcohol is permitted in moderation, where culturally and legally appropriate. Excessive consumption, drunkenness, or the use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the group at the pilgrim’s expense.
Pilgrims are asked to dress modestly, particularly when visiting churches, basilicas, and shrines. Shoulders and knees should be covered, and head coverings may be required in certain sacred spaces. Pilgrims should maintain an atmosphere of reverence in holy places by keeping silence or speaking quietly.
Pilgrims agree to follow the reasonable directions of the pilgrimage leader, guides, and clergy. Pilgrims must exercise care for their own safety and that of others, particularly when travelling in busy areas, boarding transport, or walking on uneven ground.
To preserve the prayerful and communal spirit of the journey, mobile phone use should be limited and discreet, especially during Mass, times of prayer, and guided explanations. Photography should always be respectful and never disruptive to liturgies or sacred moments. Pilgrims will respect any instruction from Authorities not to take photos.
Any concerns or grievances should be raised respectfully with the pilgrimage leader or tour director. Negative or disruptive behaviour towards fellow pilgrims or staff will not be tolerated. Persistent misconduct may result in the pilgrim being asked to leave the group, with no refund provided.
By joining the pilgrimage, pilgrims acknowledge that they are entering into a journey of faith. Each pilgrim commits to fostering an environment of prayer, openness, charity, and support for one another as we journey together.
This pilgrimage is organised within the context of Catholic teaching and practice. As such, pilgrims are expected to respect and uphold Christian values throughout the journey. In line with Catholic ethos, unmarried couples will not be accommodated in shared rooms. Room allocations will be arranged accordingly, with single rooms or same-gender twin share provided where necessary. Pilgrims are asked to respect this policy as part of the faith dimension of the pilgrimage.
Each pilgrim commits to fostering an environment of prayer, openness, charity, and mutual support, recognising that the pilgrimage is a shared journey of faith.
