Pilgrims on the first pilgrimage to the Red Centre of Australia, April 2022
Thirty-five pilgrims ventured into the Red Centre on the first Harvest Journey’s Roadtrip from Alice Springs, via Kings Canyon to Uluru.
Going to the heart of our nation, and encountering our Aboriginal brothers and sisters, as well as the natural beauty of the Australian outback, was an iconic and important experience for our pilgrims.
From the Catholic Aboriginal community at Santa Teresa, to some of the most beautiful gorges and canyons in Australia, to the celebration of Mass overlooking Uluru, the Red Centre pilgrimage had so many memorable encounters. The sense of depth, purpose and spirituality amongst the pilgrim group was palpable.
